Useful contacts for parent and family training
Parenting Across Scotland is a great starting point to see what is already listed across a very wide range of topics.
FEAST is a training group open to all families and their friends who live in Edinburgh across all school settings.
City of Edinburgh Council produce Programmes, Activities and Groups for Parents and Carers booklets twice a year for each neighbourhood.
One Parent Families Scotland provide help to all single parent families; mums, dads, young parents and kinship carers.
The Spark provide relationship support for couples, individuals, families and young people
Dads Rock provide support and help for Dads.
The Yard is a purpose built indoor and outdoor adventure playground for children and young people with disabilities.
Afasic support parents with children who have difficulties talking and understanding language.
Peeple work with families to support parents and carers with their children’s learning.
Triple P provide parenting support from toddler to teenager.
The Incredible Years is a series of programmes for parents, children, and teachers. The goal is to prevent and treat young children’s behaviour problems and promote their social, emotional, and academic competence.
